Selling at eBay Reseller Marketplace

ebay reseller marketplaceI have been an eBay Powerseller since 2002. Like many other eBay Powersellers, I have so many stories about eBay and eBay customers. Many of you are tired of hearing these stories, but let me tell it again, eBay used to be so much profitable and fun. Just like any other company which grows too fast, eBay has lost some of the main points in its business model. They started caring less about the problems of the sellers (actually their customers). They have become more and more interested in increasing their quarterly profits.

This path has helped many eBay sellers to start their own websites, and sell through their own sites. By making international sellers job easier to sell at eBay USA, it has become almost impossible to compete for small home based US sellers. But we are talking about selling retail on eBay. I have also written about ebay affiliate marketing before.

I will talk about a different business model for eBay selling. Since eBay has become so big, and there are so many success stories out there, now so many people try to sell on eBay. But they have no clue how to find the real sources to buy. eBay has created a new platform called eBay Reseller Marketplace. You can sell wholesale direct to eBay Powersellers.

What are the advantages of eBay Reseller Marketplace?

  • All the prospective customers are current powersellers (pre-qualified).
  • You can make money without spending any money from your pocket (I’ll get into this little later).
  • Your fees will be much less compared to regular eBay fees.
  • You don’t have to deal with many retail customers, and make small profit. You can have large profits per month with dealing a few wholesale customers.
  • If you keep your promise, and if your customers like your products, you will be having returning customers. Because they will want to buy more to resell retail.

How to make money at eBay Reseller Marketplace without spending any cash?

Go visit the site first, and register. They have 2 subscription plans. Basic for $79/month, and Extended for $149/month. If you have the products in stock, or already have the connections, start listing as lots (pallet, container, lots, etc.) right away. But if you have no clue what to sell, then listen to this:

Checkout Alibaba and similar B2B trade sites. Find good suppliers, decide on the right product, and make sure about the delivery dates, terms, etc. Then list the product to the eBay Reseller Marketplace. Since this is not retail, you can tell your prospective customers the delivery dates. If your supplier is offering 30 days delivery guarantee, make sure and make it 45-60 days.

Second choice, go to the trade shows (read my tips about attending trade shows), find suppliers, take catalogs, bargain and get the listings ready. Order when your listings sell at the marketplace.

Basically, you will be the middleman. There are so many people doing business as a middleman without owning any physical products. Without even seeing them.

I already had 2 successful auctions, and made over $24.000 last month. Not bad huh? Without even spending a penny on these products. It’s your turn, don’t waste any time. Register at eBay Reseller Marketplace and start your research.

I’ve been thinking about becoming an ebay reseller myself targeting wholesale lots. I have a number of business contacts I can sell for (mostly industrial/B2B goods) that at times have surplus inventory to sell. I’m also considering working with a reseller experienced in selling on ebay. I understand it takes quite a lot of time to learn ebay strategies with so much competition. Any suggestions you can offer would be appreciated.
